Style and Objectives

Before you read I would like to tell you that:

* I am uniquely qualified to present this book to you, The Price of  Silence, as I was a Burmese Buddhist, later a Bangladeshi Muslim, and I am now a powerful person in the capacity of an American citizen.
* This book is designed in such a way that a high school student (in American, British, or equivalent education system) can understand.
* The style of presentation is narrative with illustrations, based on my own experiences.
* The main text is in American English, but most of the quotes are in British or Asian English.
* The quotes are as they are without any change.
* A Glossary-cum-Index is given to make it easy to find the names, synonyms, and meanings.
* The main theme of the book is the cultural conflict of Islam and Buddhism in Bangladesh and Myanmar as a representative religious war of humankind.
* Racism forms the second theme of the cultural conflict presented here.
* Such factors as science, technology, population explosion, and economy, which ferment the cultural conflict, are also considered and featured as relevant.
* Nature of the conflict is analyzed with the view of a Social Darwinist.
* After reading this book you will learn about Pan-Islam, Jihad, Myanmar ultranationalism in both historical and contemporary context.
* Hopefully, you will be able to devise a means to stop the conflict, solve its root-causes and bring about peace and harmony in the given region and set an example for the world.

Thank you for reading my book.
